Wrong Size Lockring?

Well I got a set of cheap wheels from benscycle.net, I got a $72 ones with the Alex R450 Rims.

A lockring came with it and it fits just fine, but it doesnt seem to fit on the other hub that I have sitting here. A cog fits on it just fine, but the lockring is too small. Do they come in different sizes?

Thanks

Are you trying to thread a lockring on a freewheel?

No I am not. It steps down slightly and they are threaded in opposite directions.

Never heard of it.

New or old? Felt makes a complete called the TK2 that comes with house parts, but I'm pretty sure they just say Felt on them.

What hub comes on the cheap wheelset? We need a ton more information.

Here is a link to the wheelset.

Cheap Wheelset

I know that the hub is on the older side and was most likely used. I got the hub from a local Co-Op.

The stepdown between the cog threads and lockring threads is such a small stepdown that I didnt even notice it at first when I picked it up. Its really small.

The only modern variants of lockrings are italian thread (campy, miche(?) and phil wood) and english thread (pretty much everything else). Maybe there's an old French standard, though?

Mavic uses the french standard: https://sheldonbrown.com/harris/fixed.html#lockrings

This happened to me with a Suzue hub, turned out it had a Miche thread for the lock ring.
