most bike shops have chromed unicrown 4130 forks for $40~70 (canadian) but they're ugly and heavy.

PS. it's easier/cheaper to find a new stem than a new fork.

the stem came off of my bike i just sold and it turns out the framebuilding place where i want to get a frame does not build forks. i thought they did. now i have to find a fork before they start building the frame that i want.

im in SF and i havent been to a bike shop in awhile, do shops like Box Dog or Freewheel carry 1" threaded forks?
