HP PLUS SONs - where to get them

well each of the keywords is too small for me to do a forum search =**(.

anyone know where to get them? I'm located in the SF Bay Area if any shops have it local.

Also, any experience on these? In particular, i'm looking for a built rear wheel, with a decent hub (formula is fine)

It's H PLUS SON and you may want to try www.hplusson.com.

Man, what an awesome name for a company.

H PLUS, SON!

4doorhoor 10-14-08 04:35 PM

These are ridiculously expensive.

triplesixer 10-14-08 04:38 PM

How spendy are they? I've seen them before, but never knew how much.

Zipp 303 - $700/rim. Nearly the same depth despite the obvious weight penalty on the H+ rim.

they are actually $210, but that includes shipping

triplesixer 10-14-08 06:07 PM

That's so crazy for rims alone. I know there are those that buy zipp, hed, etc for way more, but no thanks for me. I splurged on some velocitys a couple years back on one of my rides, but even those were only like 100 (at the time) for the rims.

bryyando 10-14-08 06:17 PM

its 80 each but shipping is like 50

triplesixer 10-14-08 06:25 PM

Damn it... the more I look at them, the sexier they become.

operator 10-14-08 07:05 PM

And they weight is what 1200grams per rim?

bmcginn 10-14-08 07:06 PM

i think i might order one for my rear wheel since i am building up a set of wheels.
It's for my leader 721. what color do you guys think? I might go with gold since i have gold sugino cranks.

MIN 10-14-08 07:06 PM

560 gr per rim which is what the Deep V weighs. Not bad for a 42mm profile.

no it says: "weight is 580 grams (+/- 15 grams)"

about half that per rim. you should at least look at the website before you start talking out of your ass.

operator 10-14-08 07:13 PM

42mm is basically just old campy shamal rim depth or gipieeme knockoff techno 416's. Except these rims are proably new shyzor intended for the hipster crowd.
