Hopefully its not a repost, love this bike.

Nice bike.

This is an EXCELLENT photo to describe old vs new style of frame design. The main triangle is what we now call "Compact Geometry". The top tube has simply been lowered (obviously). Notice how the drop stem that used to be necessary to get the bars in the right position now seems awkward. Why go up so high just to come down again?

The logical steps would be to:

- Lower the spot where the seat stays meet the seat tube.
- Use more seat post
- Trim the head tube
- Install a rise stem to meet the bars.
- Come away with a significantly lighter bike because you used trimmed so much material from the frame.

Boom!:

This will be on the test next week.

Also, compact geometries are stiffer.

Why not the wheel?

redpear 10-17-11 01:39 AM

5 spokes, not an aerospoke, doesn't look like an iO.

Only acceptable 5 spoke is an iO.

Yeah I figured he may have figured it was an aerospoke, which it's definitely not. And yeah, it's not an iO, unless they ever made them with aluminum braking surfaces. I wonder what it actually is... It's got the same general shape as the iO, but still has that braking surface.

redpear 10-17-11 02:07 AM

Nah, hwdxbassist knows his stuff. Since it doesn't look carbon, it's likely it may be another form of heavy plastic aerospoke-like wheel. It certainly doesn't look like a nice wheel, if you ask me.

Rush 10-17-11 02:17 AM

Haha, my bad. Yeah, it may certainly be in the same boat as an arrospok. hwd, do you know the details about this wheel? I've been looking around online and can't find anything similar to it.

vivan chen 10-17-11 02:31 AM

I dont like the wheel because its carbon -__-
But the finish that they put on their is so smoooth.
It for a concept bike built by Peugeot the DL-121-the bike itself is pr0n NOT worthy.
that's all I know

I think it's a FFWD 5 spoke which is a less expensive version of the Io:

I think it would be more popular if the logos were removable. But, the appear to be under the clear coat...and are obnoxious.
