Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

That blue Eddy Merckx is sweet, as is the white one.

That Parlee is the living, breathing avatar of the axiom, "A fool and his money are soon parted."
At the very least, the owner didn't get carbon clinchers.

If you read my response (which is copied below) I doubt you would have asked this.

Nope. It has no interest for me whatsoever. It bores me. Pornbikes should be special. On the internet, finding "bling" bikes is not hard at all. This isn't special. A Parlee Z4 isn't super high-tech carbon, heck, it's Parlee's budget model. It's not made in Massachusetts like the others. It's Taiwanese.

To me, a pornbike should be something I will reasonably never be able to own, even with a fat wallet, like a Richard Sachs or something (considering his immense waiting list and his impending retirement). This Parlee, anyone with a high-enough credit card limit could buy tomorrow and they'd have an indentical bike.

regardless of whether the paint looks phenomenal in person, the build isn't porn
it may be functional, comfortable, and fast, but it's not porn imo
also the welds look like a gary fisher

things I would change: seatpost clamp, seatpost, stem, bars, wheelset, saddle, tires, cut steertube, and I'd clean it up

don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a great bike, and I know co-motion makes good stuff, it just doesn't belong in this thread in its current state

They closed the museum? I thought Davis was getting the Bicycle Hall of Fame and possibly with a velodrome?
