Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

That stem has to make the steering even twitchier.

It can get a little tarcky at times. (Lord, some people probably actually think of ourys, veep-d's and riserz as pornographic.) I have faith in this thread, though. No matter badly it slums in tarckworld, it always redeems itself with some classic Italian track iron, some masterful builder's work, or a properly kitted keirin bike.

I'd like to see more of that Giro too.

I guess. The people who would know, though, would probably be scratching their heads.

I like the nautical star on the fork. It gives the bike broader appeal. How many million people would think, "Hey, I should get that bike. Then my bike will match my totally original tattoo?"

this is a great reason for there not to be a nautical star on the fork.
