As I said in another thread, Cannondale used terribly thin paint in the 80s and 90s. I bought a SR500 with paint that was literally bubbling up and cracking off.

can someone tell me why people on BF love cannondale track frames? I think they are really pretty, and probably one of my favorite bikes, but what is this about the geometry of them that everyone finds so perfect and why hasn't it been replicated?

And honestly, I never thought I would say this, but I like the gold hubs. On ANY other bike they would be obnoxious, but everything is just working on that bike so well

I would assume he was taking pics while not on the track. With the risers on, I just assume it doesn't see track use at all, like the majority of track bikes with risers that I see.

Well the KHS Aero is pretty close, and latest I can think of that has thick tubing and Pursuit Geo, would be the Affinity Low Pro.
Both of which, I really like.
And the blue of the Cannondales is just so clean and unique IMO. Its always nice to see a blue Cannondale being ridden.

And damn, I have that pic of the Cannondale saved on my Netbook, didnt see how ****ed the paintjob was... Not that its a bad thing, but I just thought it was NOS looking, from a small screen.

I'll post mine up later today.

I always thought it was the aluminum frame with a steel fork. Lighter than an all steel frame but the steel fork helps absorb a lot of the road vibration so the bike still rides more like steel.

Check out the Continuum Cycles frames if your want something similar. The website hasn't been updated but the frames have been in the shop for a few weeks now.

I thought that the porn thread was for things that any dentist with a credit card couldn't go out and buy.

I guess I came off a bit douchy, not my intention. My point was that is a beautiful bike and all but I could go buy that today. To me, porn is the unobtainable but nice to look at. To each their own.

hey man, a parlee with easton cranks and carbon tubulars is pretty unobtainable for most. you can't buy it today, not if you want a z1 which is custom and requires a wait along with $6K+ for the frame.
