Steerer Tube
Hey if I previously had a 1 1/8" threaded fork that had a 5 1/2" steerer tube, do you think a 1 1/8" threadless fork with a steerer tube of 7" will be enough if I plan on having my stem as low as possible

If your threadless headsets stack height ain't any greater than the old threaded i think you'll be fine. most threaless stems clamp height are just under 2 inches, and you'll want at least a centimeter/ centimeter and a half of empty space from your steer cap, which needs to press down on the stem, and not your steer tube./

It should work. I changed from a 7" threaded steerer to a 10" threadless and it was fine. All depends on the threadless stem you use_as in how much rise or lack thereof it has.
I am going back to threaded cuz I like the look of the quill stem.
