Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

New frame time.help

ok.
so i have been working as a messanger for a while now,
riding a giant bowery i picked up about 8 months ago, i have replaced almost everything on the bike, carbon forks, brooks saddle, custom wheels etc......but i feel it is time for a change.

now that i have some money i want to build a new bike ,purely for work, and am planning to buy a frame/fork set.
I want something that rides smooth and easy and is relatively lightweight, as i am spending about 11 hours a day on the road, and around the 500dollar price.
I have looked into the Surly steamroller, bianchi's, IRO's and several other framesets....

anybody got any suggestions?
