I figured that the area being pretty good and so many people around I could get away with it for one day till I get a better lock...now I know better. I called NYPD and reported it stolen. Now to scan craigslist and ebay to see if it pops up.

that sucks a lot, i'll definitely keep an eye out but that bike is so generic it could be hard, do you have the serial number written down? everytime i see i nicer bike locked with a cable like that i always feel like i should almost wait for the person who locked it to come back and explain how you can clip it with nail clippers.

Bikes: allez fuji tracku nishiki TT GT KHS arrow Miner 29'er CIOCC Corsair and now a f*cking awesome waterford skeet velo

good luck finding it.
if you invested this much money into a tri bike, a road bike, and that "beater" IRO, get yourself a good chain.
never skimp on these things and don't put faith in your fellow man.

Yeah, I hate to say it but that bike wouldn't last long in any city if it was locked up like that. Keep your eyes peeled and all that but you really should invest in a good lock for your other bikes.

Sorry to hear that man. I'll just restate what everyone else said, lock your bike up to a better post and get a much better lock.

Really nice IRO btw.

Nice lock, whats, you couldn't find a shoelace to secure your bike?

Seriously though, tough luck.

From: My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"

Bikes: to many to list

Not trying to be an arse (cause I truly feel bad you had your bike stolen) but did you really expect it to be there with just that flimsey cable securing it?
