i still don;t understand why it's so important to have a bottle opener on all these tools. if you can open a beer with a lighter, you can open a been with any relatively flat, solid object.

Pedal wrenches are great to have in the toolbox but I don't think of them as necessary for a 'rescue tool'.

Maybe I have kind of a unique situation, but my tools are 7 floors away from where I keep my bikes. It would be nice to be able to switch pedals before a ride with just the tools I would be packing anyway. Maybe it's kind of a unique situation.

Probably about as often as you'll encounter a beer bottle that doesn't have a twist off top. Or the need to tighten you lockring.

Anyone pick one of these up from the link above?
I have tried to search around a bit, assuming they are out, but couldn't find anything.

I'm still hoping to buy locally as I've purchased a bunch of stuff online lately and I do try to support my LBS's when possible.

FYI: I just received the following email from Jason Elhardt @ Pedros:
Hey Ryan,
Thanks for your interest. The first production run is on it's way to distributors
now so your local shop should be able to get one in the next few weeks. If you
don't see them soon, please let us know and we can probably help you out.
Cheers.

Looks pretty sweet but looks too short to provide proper leverage. Out on the road it would be good to have but I don't see using this over a normal chain whip/lock ring tool at home.

hmmm, there is a dealer two blocks from my house. more interesting, there is a bike shop 2 blocks from my house! i have only lived here a month and a half, but i have riddin my bike and drivin my car by ther countless times. looks like i have something to do after work today.
edit: now i know why i didn't know that LBS was there. because it's not! i guess they don't update the interweb offten enough. oh well, there is another dealer a block away from my part time job, i'll check them out tomrrow.

My LBS is trying to order me one. They said their supplier will get some in early February and they'll try to get me one of those.
I can't wait.
