i still don;t understand why it's so important to have a bottle opener on all these tools. if you can open a beer with a lighter, you can open a been with any relatively flat, solid object.

You know what I'd like better than a bottle opener? A pedal wrench.

How often do you need to install or remove pedals while you are out riding vs. how often do you enjoy a cold beer?

Pedal wrenches are great to have in the toolbox but I don't think of them as necessary for a 'rescue tool'.

Maybe I have kind of a unique situation, but my tools are 7 floors away from where I keep my bikes. It would be nice to be able to switch pedals before a ride with just the tools I would be packing anyway. Maybe it's kind of a unique situation.

Probably about as often as you'll encounter a beer bottle that doesn't have a twist off top. Or the need to tighten you lockring.

if you can;t open a beer bottle with your teeth, you don't deserve to drink it.

Anyone pick one of these up from the link above?
I have tried to search around a bit, assuming they are out, but couldn't find anything.

The company has a phone #. If you are interested you should call and ask if it's in stock.

I'm still hoping to buy locally as I've purchased a bunch of stuff online lately and I do try to support my LBS's when possible.

FYI: I just received the following email from Jason Elhardt @ Pedros:

Hey Ryan,

Thanks for your interest. The first production run is on it's way to distributors
now so your local shop should be able to get one in the next few weeks. If you
don't see them soon, please let us know and we can probably help you out.

Cheers.
Jason

Looks pretty sweet but looks too short to provide proper leverage. Out on the road it would be good to have but I don't see using this over a normal chain whip/lock ring tool at home.

My LBS is trying to order me one. They said their supplier will get some in early February and they'll try to get me one of those.

I can't wait.
