I just got mine yesterday but I didn't look to see if there is a hole for the chainwhip or not. I did use it to open a beer though and it works great!

No.

I picked mine up today and I really like it! Good length and hand feel for using it as a tool and it came with some sweet wing nuts to attach it to the bottle cage mounts on my downtube.

Overall I think it's easily worth the $30 price.
