Because it's a rip off. Offer $100 and go from there.

Bikes: lots
Saddle is OK.
Wheels are maybe OK.
Everything else kind of sucks.
Just to be clear, I am not saying that Ourys and riser bars suck, but given how cheap they are, there is no way they should determine if you should buy a particular bike.

Bikes: 3Rensho SuperRecord Export, Bridgestones MB1 RB1 XO2, Colnago Super, Medici GranTurismo, Schwinn Paramount, Olmo Competition, Raleigh Portage, Miyata 1000, Stumpjumper, Lotus Competition, Nishiki Maxima, Panasonic DX6000, Zeus Criterium
specifically that frame is really marginal for that price. but it looks like they're trying to recoup some of the "new" component costs. it ain't worth anything close to 250.00 even in LA. IMO. also BTW that frames probably more like a 54cm not a 50cm. for 250.00 go buy one of these and do a conversion:

(that second bike listing is really big though)

However, I have several friends with those bikes, and they are very sick.

Isn't a "true conversion" some kind of weird oxymoron? I don't get it.
