I don't have a degree, color theory was developed over time to tell people what looks like **** together, it's actually more science than art. And this thread is people asking for critique, I gave an educated one, what do you come with? Personal insults, wow, that's new...I'm sure your flat black bike looks great.

deshi, the only thing i don't like is the fact that you're hanging your bike by the saddle, you're gonna rip it off the rails, daddy.

otherwise the subtle adjustments that tarver added are true.

oh, and i ****s with an all black bike, knight rider ****.

Color Theory is something that once you have an awareness to it, you can't help it.

Some people don't have it, and need it, as we saw in the post to which he replied to.

He did the guy a favor.

For real, this bike looks good except for the stem. Riser bar+drop stem makes no sense. Nice photo

My bad, I guess that nubbin sticking off the top distracted me. Yeah, I mostly do vintage conversions. I usually shy away from threadless because I prefer loose balls for looks, function and performance. Sounds like it's time for me to put my money where my mouth is. I'm out of town, but I'll post a couple bikes when I get home.

I fixed the stem

Hey,

Thanks for the advice on the stem. I swapped it to a Nitto with better results. ... I HATE the way green bar tape looks. I am hoping it will get dirty and dark real quick.

It turns out my purple handle bar didn't work out because of deep drop. So I am back with B125.

T

P.S. I also dislike my wheels.

I actually really like that bike, only things I would change are the tape (match it to the top tube protector maybe?) and the saddle.

thanks genius. seriously tho relax. the guy spraypainted dura-ace hubs. the last thing he should be concerned about is which colors are opposite eachother on a spectrum wheel...

Lose the reflector and get a Planet Bike Superflash... and then send the bike to me.

Yeah, I'm curious about those spokes as well. Strangely, they look fine. The Masi:yeah the reflector or light looks goofy, but it's gotta be done(I always carry my bag and ride a few different bikes so I just keep mine clipped to the bag and carry a headlight for when I need it)otherwise once the bar tape gets a little patina it will be perfecto.

Okay, I passed out a few suggestions recently and realized I should probably put my stuff up for review. I'm posting my daily driver(the Crescent) and a Peugeot I just did up for my wife. I threw one in of the stable for kicks(although it just shrunk by four bike to finance a LHT I just ordered up, I can't wait for Tuesday!). Before anyone rags on me about riding a brake, the first pic is why I do(and wear a helmet)I have responsibility to not be a brain case for the little dude. And this goes without saying, but don't critique my baby, just the bikes please...I have built a lot of bikes and these are some of my favorites, they were a progression and I'll post some of the less successful ones later. What I'm saying is, they aren't all pretty, in fact some have been awful. The only thing I'm not real happy with is the chainring on the Crescent, but I'm too cheap to get a chrome one until this one is dead and yes, I know the straps are upside down, but they look better and actually work well this way.
Sorry for the thumbnails, but I know I get sick of scrolling through 50 giant pics of the same bike with new comments.

Ooh Ooh are those plastic pedals on the Masi? I'm gonna have to retract my earlier praise temporarily, I was so busy looking at the rest I missed it. I'm sure it's top of your list though...

I see the kid is important enough for you to run a brake but not your wife! I like your style.

I'm just playing, the bikes look pretty good.
