they are track stems, and put you in an aggressive position for sprinting. they are common on track bikes intended to be used at the velodrome.

I thought they were unconfortable also but figured I wouldnt use the track bike on long rides anyway. To my surprise my bike is very comfortable with the track stem, enough that I did a 114 mile ride on it recently.

in my eyes a track quill stem looks beautiful, i would think alot of other people think so aswell considering what people pay for a new one.

I am running a Technomic. but I feel Jaguar looks better with a track drop. Jaguar's angle, 58 degrees, matches with sloping of B123 giving you real smart looks. I am glad some people can pull em off. My drop go a bit too low with my Jaguar stem.

i don't like the gold seatpost collar or the cranks on this bike. I think the FSA carbon cranks would look really good.

Yeah, it was a spare I had from my old MTB, The gold matches the brazing work. But it is a bit redundant having a quick release on a road bike.

Don- I just don't like that wheelset on there or those bars. That bike comes out of the factory looking pretty, and everything you did just makes it uglier. Now, that's a cool wheelset and would probably look sweet on a different bike. I agree about the gold seatpost collar, too. Just make that bike stock again!
