Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

uh, it's actually pretty informative (for those unfamiliar with a fixed gear) and pretty reasonable.

I really shouldn't have read your post based solely on your name and the fact that you use the "word" "fixy" but i decided to and read the article and I see absolutely nothing wrong with the article written that you linked to. in fact i would say its almost 100% accurate. now the real question is... what did you see wrong with what he said?

I dont really see what he said that you have a problem with. It seems like his intention was to explain fixed to people who casually or don't ride.

grow.

Ok, Ok. I'm sorry, I got excited, I wanted approval. I've read it again - it is excellent. I'm sorry.

If you hate my bikes that's cool with me... If you tell me that because of my bike I drink my coffee like the soccer mom that takes 5 minutes to order her drink.... That is something else.
