Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

a little old, but still fun he cwmc 2001 link has a bunch of videos of guys doing backwards circles, and some footage of races...it's kinda crappy quality, but it's still kinda cool.

a couple years ago, i was looking for pursuit frames online, and i came across this site. it used to have pictures of custom made frames, and price lists and everything you'd expect from a company's site. and they made custom pursuit frame for $350 or thereabouts. it was great. their philosophy was, as messengers, to build frames FOR messengers. and they looked like GREAT frames. well, i fired off an email, got a response and was getting ready to order when, i checked back at the site and it was in it's current state. and has been in that state for two years. and i'm still sad about it. the links haven't been updated and the videos haven't either, so i'm guessing they either stopped maintaining the website, or they stopped building frames.

anyway, if anyone knows anything about them, and what happened, i'd like to know.

Hi there, heres a message from one of the two founders of Munenmuso. A tad late, I know, but I can't keep you waiting for answers again!
We sort of died as a company back in 2003. I think we where ahead of our time and didn't realize the full potential of the fixed gear shop back then. Dirk went of and lives in Barcelona, set up a new messegering company there. I busted my knees riding fixed with a heavy gearing and drifted away from it all. I'm back though! Started making messenger bags and more. Soon to come!
Thanks for supporting us back in the day! Sorry we left you in the dark!
ciao, Paul 'Jiraffa' Vink
