Its a Peugeot, i believe around mid 80's. Stripped it, sanded it, and rattle-canned it red. Just used parts that i had laying around and built it up as my first project. Let me know what you guys like or dont like lol. ALso, i wanna sell it, what should i ask? Thanks

dude, the rear axle looks like it's just *barely* in the drop. that's a recipe for a catastrophic failure.

you should throw another link onto your chain, or a half-link, and fix that ASAP. doesn't look safe to ride as is.

bravo. def one of the better budget conversions i've seen, esp. for a first build.

1) catnap is right.
2) that thing begs for fenders. you should think about polished honjos...

ed: if you're selling it, assuming most parts are new, i'd expect $250, maybe $300 best case scenereo.

yea the rear wheel was just bolted up for the picture and nothing has been adjusted correctly yet.

I was thinking the same thing about chain tension. That **** looks tight.
Are the wheels different sizes? Looks like it.

i think the wheels are the same, the front just has a 25 on it and looks like a 24 in the rear

Extremely nice conversion. Looks pretty good for a budget. What type of crank and chainring is that? did you primer it and stuff before you painted it?

The chain was from a previous bike and i havent added any links yet so in order to keep the wheel in the dropouts, i had to get the chain pretty tight. It was raining all morning and it had stopped so i wanted to snap some pictures while i had a chance.

The cranks and chainrings are Sakae's that i had from a Miyata Three-Ten

Yea i primered it and everything before painting it, although it didnt come out as well as i had planned, but oh well.

Hmm could you possibly show me some close ups of the paint or anything? I am extremely curious to see how well a rattle can job can actually turn out.

this isn't going to affect how much you sell it for, but including the wheelset, cranks, and everything else you replaced, how much you think you spent on it total?

i had the wheelset, cranks, and pretty much everything else...

the only things i bought and replaced were the seatpost and headset. Including the bike and all the materials used for stripping and painting it, i probably spent around $90...

How did the paint turn out close up? Any runs or anything? Have you had any chips or anything yet?

no runs in the paint, but it does chip pretty easily. Its probably because i only did two coats of clear, but oh well
