Filtered water, gotcha. Any recommendations on a grinder? With the drip machine I just got pre-ground, but I know you need a coarser grind for a press so I'm finally going to start buying whole beans like I should have been doing all this time.

I use mine every morning and afternoon as well. I often use a normal grinder just do it coarser but if you really like ground beans you can just request a french press grind and any shop will grind it correctly. As others said unless you get into the espresso world and can throw down the $300 for a nice grinder just stick to the good 'ol cheapie. Speaking of Espresso that's my gift this year eventually. I'll use some money I got for christmas and I'm getting a Rancilio Silvia and the Rocky. I can't wait!!!

xlazymx 12-25-08 11:53 AM

gotta wait to go to my moms house for presents up there. hoping there will be a 09' Pista waiting for me. ill post pics in a day or so if its there!
Merry Christmas

peabodypride theres one thing I think we can both agree on, American Apparel for the win. idk if you are into any bands on saddle-creek (bright eyes, rilo kiley, cursive etc) but almost all their shirts are American Apparel and they're like 12$ each. I got a Bright Eyes and a Neva Dinova shirt for like 20$

Also got this:

Nitto track drops (duno if they are B-123's or not)
Action single speed crank set

[Mr.B] 12-25-08 01:46 PM

alot of my friends do not wear american apparel because its too "hipster"

I like most bands on Saddle Creek, especially Rilo Kiley. Most companies use AA shirts because they fit well for fat and skinny people alike and they last a long time. It's a luxury clothe for sure (now DC makes knock-off AA hoodies, and lots of places sell plain colored shirts), but you pay for the cut and the good life.

Well if you go to the mall, every company is selling knock-off AA stuff anyway (Pac Sun comes to mind, Zoomies, and so forth.) So it's kinda mainstream now.

peabody, how do you like that MSI Wind? i've been looking in to getting one.

Love it. I chose it over the eee series because of the trackpad buttons and the build quality, also because of the 10" screen. I would have preferred a HP mini because of the near-full size keyboard, but I could only find it with a (very slow) solid state drive. The build quality is great and the keyboard isn't terrible. The trackpad isn't Synaptec (the good brand) anymore, but you can replace it. The 3-cell battery only lasts 2 hours but you can buy a 6 cell one. I bring it to school in my bag daily and sometimes it falls off my bed, so it's fairly durable.

White wheels would've looked better, but I love the frame.

Whoops, I meant Urban Outfitters, not Underoath. "And I dreamt of you" is a great track, especially around 4:34.

PoopinFresh 12-25-08 08:20 PM

facemask with integrated hoodie, robe, slippers (everything I asked for).

Bike related and on it's way are Brooks Proofide for the b-17 I gifted myself, planet bike hardcore fenders, and some new brake pads.

Because I'm an ass who had to learn the hard way about over torquing parts, a new brake lever will soon be purchased as well, though that's another gift to myself.

performance while leaning it up against a wall would really benefit from silver spokes.
