Dropouts

Is there a big difference between horizontal dropouts and "diagonal" dropouts?

Can you get away with riding fixed on the "diagonal" droputs?

you can get away with vertical dropouts with the right gear combo. Diagonal dropouts will work substantially the same as horizontal.
