Pista Stem size?

i am wanting to get a salsa 25.4 stem on my 09 bianchi pista but i cant find out what size stem it fits. i am assuming it is a 1-1/8" threadless?

Nope it's a 1" threadless. It sux to find stems, you'll have to get a shim or ebay one.

From Bianchi site:

Fork
CrMo (Steel) butted 1"

New fork and headset, sure. But it's probably not really worth it, 1" threaded stems aren't that hard to find.

genius, it's a 1" fork so you would shim it to 1 1/8"....

get a 1 and 1/8 stem and shim the stem.

anyone have any links to a shim? ive never really seen one before so i don't know if i found the right thing or not.

and will this fork fit on a pista?

I have a 1-1/8 stem on my pista.

It's a Cinelli Vai which comes with a shim.

with a 1/16" thick shim.

it's pretty common, most stems tend to come with them.
