Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

oh, after i posted earlier today i dislocated, and most likely broke, my left shoulder snowboarding. tossed a switch bs 5, tailed out and saved it and felt a pop. only reason i know the diagnosis is cuz it happened to my other shoulder 5 years ago.

doesnt count for 2008 though

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Fractured my right collarbone in May in a crash.

Sheared my chainring bolts in September on the FG and nearly destroyed a bit of vital equipment on my top tube when that happened......

Knocked my upper left incisor out as well.

Body and bike damage.

A spoke.

2,150 miles on my Langster this year, including some pretty intense commute/training rides, and one of the spokes on my twingy, pingy, flexy stock Alex wheelset finally gave. Gotta stop doing intervals on those things.
