Did you paint those tires or are those tires that they sell?

rivendell speedblend ruffy tuffys. great tires. blend to teal and purple at speed.
they're also really expensive b/c of the weird process they put em through for the sidewalls |

out of the box, last june or so:
http://www.pixelparlor.com/images/bi...zip_bike18.jpg i never really used the drops, even at first: http://www.pixelparlor.com/images/bi.../zip_bike1.jpg i added a brake, fender, changed the pedals, replaced the rear tire with an armadillo, trimmed the steerer, chopped the bars a little: http://www.pixelparlor.com/images/bi.../zip_bike5.jpg I replaced the wheels, saddle, seatpost, stem, chainring, cog, lockring, clips, straps, and replaced the rear tire with a folding gatorskin to get it just right: http://www.pixelparlor.com/images/bi...zip_bike35.jpg |
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j160/wynkoner/047.jpg
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...r/RSCN2552.jpg fenders broke...my old seat... http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...r/DSCN2758.jpg saw the tempo on the last page, PROPS...my winter bike. starting to come together, just hate that stem. i might paint it but i like it in vintage mode alot! |
And since you have honjo fenders, you can't claim cost as a factor. |

Admit it, a bike that sweet needs a honey brooks, not black, and a nice silver nitto rack. Maybe one of these. http://www.rivbike.com/images/produc...193/20-075.jpg
And since you have honjo fenders, you can't claim cost as a factor. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9.../DSCF8433c.jpg The Pass & Stow front rack is handmade locally, and I absolutely love the piece. It allows me to carry all sorts of things--the wide platform is a huge plus. Strapping down an overloaded backpack makes riding much more pleasant. It also has the ability to carry panniers, and the internal cable routing will come in handy with a new wheelset. http://www.passstow.com/ I spent a lot of time looking for the right front rack. Rivendell's offering is nice, but I desired a large base. Their rear rack interests me, however. |
that rack looks well made and functional, but would be sweeter in chrome

This is it loaded on my trailer. I bought the frame on craigslist and brought it 12 miles home on my trailer. Note it had a Shimano FF (Freewheel built into crank) still installed when i got it. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3182/...fbe882e697.jpg Here it is towingthe same trailer 3 1/2 months later towing the same trailer with a christmas tree on top. She's a work in progress. I need to wrap the bars, and buy a better crank. Its a really tiny frame with 175mm cranks, so you can't lean to far into turns, I hit the ground with the left pedal at low speed for the first time today. I was not expecting that. |
