i saved up a bunch of $ and decided the only thing i wanted was a new bike. after much debate i decided on a custom track frame & fork (the first track frame i've had and also the first fixed. as it stands i ride a ss road) i've got most of my parts planned out: sugino 75 cranks, maybe a king headset, paul hubs laced to cxp33's or open pros, airwing bars, and all the other random parts to compleat it.
so the first thing would be if anyone has any better suggestions on components that would be awesome.
the next order of business is fork rake, to rake or not to rake?
i'm want it to be as beefy as possible for everyday city riding. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess the thing with the vanillas is that you're looking at a year wait time...with the serottas i think it might be as little as a month, maybe less?
hey al5, nice icon!

you misunderstood i already put the deposit down on the frame it'll be done sometime next month the wait was like 10-12 weeks...now if i can only afford to outfit it heh.
yea, depends how much cash you are willing to part with-
I think all the components you're looking at are high quality. The difference between most high end stuff is personal preference- a campy bb is nice, so is a dura ace and sugino. I think diminishing returns start when looking at ti hatta headsets.
so what frame did you get?

a circle a, lugged columbus zerouno with paul drop outs...i'm thinking army green with a black star behind the badge like the one on the site.

Find out what the builder recommends. They've designed the angles, etc. for the frame, they will be able to recommend a fork that works with it.Originally Posted by cripiter
