Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

okay, I'll stop the ricecar talk.
Come now! Anyone who would put a rear wing on a car would definitely put a front air dam of equal size...sheesh. That would be like putting an aero on the fro...errr......nevermind....

some interesting mixed reviews. I'm surprised of so many positives, you hear a lot of bad about the 'spokes.

I wouldn't put one on my fg now, but back in the late 80s and early 90s when I still raced tri's, I was rockin' a pair of aerospokes on my tri bike (Trek 2100 with the carbon tubes on aluminum stays/forks).
20-odd years ago, the science behind bike tech wasn't as slick as it is now, so the design on the aerospoke was actually more aero than many of the wheels on the market. There weren't 50mm deep section rims available at the time.
