I'm not entirely sure I follow... you mean patina lasting after clear coating? No, obviously over time the frame will deteriorate, but I can't imagine any faster than your average frame. Clarify?

Any updates on the leather saddles? A raw killo ( real raw, not the grey primer version) with some brooks-ish saddle (swallow) is my 2009 birthday gift to myself.

how does pre-ordering work? I'm subscribed to the bikesdirect newsletter, but I want to make sure that I get one of the strippers before they sell out.

If you are on the newsletter, you will get a notice of each special sale
and of new bikes that are going up; so you do not need to keep going to the site to check it out
Stripper is due to ship soon, once it ships we will put up a pre-book
Also just got in a bunch of special limited edition colors in smaller sizes {44, 47, 50}
SWAK PINK, CELESETE BLUE, APPLE PIE, CREAMCICLE ORANGE, and FIFI PINK
those will go up soon and newletter will go out when they do
thanks for signing up

Normal colors of Kilo T Pro are on the way in now; Slate, White, Cream, Tangerine
Working on Chrome frames & Chrome/Paint which should be in later this year
NEW COLORS on Kilo TT, Pinks, Celeste, Apple Pie, CreamcucleOrange are in and sell real well
So far the follow up we get is that people love these type colors
Looking to do a lot more color options all the time

It is an exciting time; and I love all the new type of bikes and options
I am especially excited about doing more internal hub bikes and WTF City SS type bikes
The odd thing about your question is it assumes people like myself work for money; which is often not the case. I do this because I love it. In fact, my wife is always saying to me: "you need a hoby" {But she knows I have a hoby, which is working in the bike business}
