Clever comebacks?
ok so today i was riding, this guy in a truck parked in the parking lot yelled to me:
"GET SOME GEARS!"
and then on the top of my mind like a million comebacks just flew right threw and by the time i wanted to say something i had passed him long ago lol
so ive decided to start this thread to find a comeback that i will use only so i wont have to think about it.
i was gonna say "I CAN ONLY AFFORD ONE!!" or "NO!! IM GONNA GRIND IT!!" "ITS TOO COMPLICATED!!"
"MY CHAINS NOT LONG ENOUGH"
what are some comebacks you guys can come up?

i just get homophobic words yelled at me by drivers, i'd much rather have some bike advice like that man in the truck gave you, whether or not its good advice.

whenever someone does something like that to me i just try to do something impressive, cause after they figure out your a seasoned rider and actually know what your doing they feel like the *******. or you could just be the jerk on the bike blurting out some ****ty "your mom has some gears" joke.

I'm too busy making my Zoolander facial expression of leetness to bother responding.
But if I had to, it would be with a headbob of manliness followed up with
"I'm not just the president of the Gearless Club for men, I'm also a member."
Then I'd make the pout lips again for effect.

Bikes: Primary: little orange 70s LeJeune track bike, AKA Tomato Frog, and (secondary) a noisy old Botecchia mixte frame ten-speed of similar vintage.
Damn, someone *noticed*? I'd be flattered. Usually people are too busy being affronted that something other than a car is in the road to notice what it *is*, beside a non-car.
Though in all fairness, today some guys with BMXs were yelling 'Fixie! Fixie!' at me and I didn't know whether to lose my temper or not.

That'll confuse 'em.
