Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Olmo

Does anyone know where I can score one of the older olmos? like the lugged ones with the silver/white logos from a year or two back? and by "score one" I mean it doesn't have to be used, but that's fine too...used or new...I just figured there might some shops or distros that might still have some of the lugged ones.

Check out www.billronbikes.com They are a dealer in So Cal and handle those frames. They may have a line on one.

There's a few bigger (57-59cm) Olmo track frames collecting dust over @ Velosport in Helsinki. They do look nice

thanks for the tips guys...billron is currently on vacation I guess.....and to answer bikedud's question, I'd need a 55...but the one I"m looking for is the older lugged version from a few years ago, not the current version.

I ordered the frame... I think it should fit just right...my bike now is a 56 and I can barely straddle it, so the 54 should be perfect...like maybe a little small, but I kinda like that.

thanks for the heads up jitensha!

I'll post pics once it's all set up and ready to go.
