Seal line Messenger bag

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has experience with Seal Line "Urban Shoulder Bag":

https://www.seallinegear.com/urban.as...Category=Urban

I was thinking of getting this one as opposed to Chrome. I know Chrome is good and durable, but I would like to get something other than what everyone seems to have. None of the other companies (Bailey Works, Reload, etc) doesn't seem to be available where I live (Ottawa, ON)

No experience with that one, sorry.
I would recommend checking out seagull bags though, if you haven't already.
I think they will ship to you.....(?)

The strap on those looks really, really bad for use on a bike.
Even if you can't get a Chrome or Seagull or Reload, there are also a number of Canadian bag companies... under the weather, PAC, Cocotte, Push the Envelope, probably a bunch more.

The sealline urban backpack is awesome... the large should be called super-huge though. I've heard a number of people like the messenger. With their background in outdoor gear, they know how to get someone to design a harness (the backpack) for long term comfort. I suspect the messenger is the same.

i don't understand. you should be able to order a reload bag online, and they'll send it in the mail. what do you mean they don't offer it where you live?

Thanks for all your replies. I was skeptical because Seal line isn't a company dedicated to making courier bags.

Canadian made bags tend to be overpriced, and I'm not really digging the looks of them, but I'll take a look again. Reload bags and others can be ordered online but in the field where I provide the state, there is no Canadian provinces, and that makes me a little uneasy.

jdmitch: I saw the sealline backpack and it is huge. I am looking at the shoulder bag though, and it's standard size

if you email R.E. Load they will get back to you pretty fast. They call and make sure the order is good to go before they charge you for anything. i am sure they will let you know if they can/will ship it to you. and i am pretty sure they will, they are super cool people.

also Blaq is pretty cheap, on sale till April 1 for $155 USD for their biggest bag (3672 cubic inches). and they are really cool to. i was going to buy one if their bags so i was talking to them a bit via email. they can add a few custom things to you bag as well. (i ended up goign with R.E. load because my girl is buying it for my birthday).

There are some threads about Sea Line bags on the commuter forum. You may want to search there as well. If you haven't seen this I would recommend reading it before buying anything. It's the best set of reviews I've seen. I wish they would review a Seagull bag.
Also, I don't know what size you are looking for, but Chrome has their Kremlin bags for almost half price right now in the Backdoor section of their website.

Wow. I hadn't seen that review yet. Thank you very much.

I was looking for med/large size, but Kremlin is a bit of an overkill. I also don't like the dimension of Chrome bags (too wide for my liking). From the page you gave me, I really like the look of Banjo Brothers. I'll check them out. Thanks again

I'll probably get Bailey Works SuperPro... over $200 US shipped though. It's about that price range if I get it from Seagulls or ReLoad.

One store here sells Chrome for $180 CAN, but I really dont want to give in to Chrome

reload bags are better than baileyworks. if it's the same price you should go with reload.

Justification?

It's not that I don't believe you. I just want to hear all the good/bad things about each of them.
