Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

well i could have got it with the hatta bb too, but i have dura ace 7710 cranks w/ the octa link bb so the hatta would have been no use to me, so i got $50 off without the hatta. I was happy i would have just sold it anyways

that makes sense then. DA 7710 is hella nice looking, i've never used it though.

what wheels are going on there? I'm working on building up some i bought from milwaukee cycle or whatever, but it's gonna be kinda janky since it's an 18 hole rim on 36 hole hubs (what a nighmare, at least the fronts are 16 so that can be laced normal 2x or whatever.) waiting on ordering some 110mm hubs.

Glad you're alright and that you got your bikes back. Hope you didn't lose too much else and that everyone in the building fared well. Scary ****. I wish everyone built concrete houses like they do in Mexico.

I just got a peloton frameset. seems to be one of the smaller njs builders, specializes in lugless building it sounds. the brazing is sex.

we'll all see it in a month or so hopefully

Jack Taylor used to refer to their filleted frames as "using the superior lugless technique". I love it!

yeah. out of curiosity, are frames build with any other brazing technique?

I wasn't sure on this purchase since it was only based on the pics i saw at chari&co's website, but now that it's here it's pure sexual. it looks like a grey-blue steel 93 cdale track. can't wait to build this up

two most common ways to braze a bike frame are lugged and fillet

and the 90's cannondale track bikes were aluminum

exactly, which is why i think mine looks like a steel version

not really, i guess it looks more like an electroforged schwinn with a nicer paint job, but I like to think high
