If you build a custom frame, such things should be considered in the build. I can give the spacers a pass (reluctantly), but the need for a setback should have been met with the geometry of the frame in the first place. A setback is for when a stock frame doesnt fit exactly. A custom frame should fit. What this tells me is Spectrum suck at fitting.
Glad you have it figured out at least

Geordi you usually don't put your foot in your mouth quite this badly, but I think you let the fact that you seem to be sick of seeing Gyeswho's bike cloud your judgment. You're wrong in every possible way.

A few beers at lunch break and yet another photo of that Spectrum from yet another angle did cloud my judgment to speak without much thought. Within an hour while browsing on break, I saw that bike in 3 different forums including this one. My brain exploded and public hilarity ensued. Consider me schooled in the component setup of a bike I'm sick of seeing everywhere.

I had a very very good laugh at how misinformed you sounded. You almost had me ? if it was really made wrong (*not really). It's all good though since you learned something knew and it was another exciting and entertaining moment in the Bike Forums history books
BTW, this is nothing new with me taking pics of my bikes. I've done with all my bikes.
(And just a tip for future reference, if you can't stand and hate pics of my bikes, then just scroll past it so that way you don't have to look at it anymore and you won't waste your time typing about something really trivial )
PS. - where is that pic of your bike?

Hey, I like to take pics of my bikes because it's like a relationship (considering I'm single, so this takes the place of a girl )
I had a very very good laugh at how misinformed you sounded. You almost had me ? if it was really made wrong (*not really). It's all good though since you learned something knew and it was another exciting and entertaining moment in the Bike Forums history books

Have a good weekend, dude.

Oh, we are so sorry, Geordi, because you have contributed so much more to this forum, and specifically this thread. It is a pic thread, and he is posting pics. Like he said, just skip over it if you have had your fill of the bike. I do the same with others I have seen. If you are tired of using your mouse to scroll past, the space bar does it super fast!
Speaking of pics, where is your bike again?
Here are two of mine:

yeah, we all know you take pictures of you bike. for the last couple years, we cannot visit a regional forum and not see one of you bikes with it's latest, minor reconfiguration or the same setup but from a different angle (always in front of your white fence, ocean, or store). It's like you stop by and just post pictures every 10 days...and not really post anything besides your pictures. you're like the johnny appleseed of bike pictures that need explanation. people here seem to love it, but outside of the bikeforums world people find your obsessive need to spam a little odd.
but whatever -- you've heard all of this before. I know because I've read your discussions with those wondering wtf was going on. ad nauseum.

The reason I post a lot of pics is because I value seeing different setups and it gives ideas for useful applications. I would hope others feel the same so that's why I post different pics. I also post pics because I simply like to snap pics of my bike in different configurations so another may get an idea (I know I look to see how something looks on someone's bike to get an idea of how it will look if I were to do something similar). The way I see it is those who have a problem with it need to do something better with themselves and stop worrying about me because I'm in no way insulting or harming them. The "problem" is so easily solved by just scrolling past it. It's actually the complainers who cause the problem because if one speaks about it, all the others complainers jump on the juvenile bandwagon of whining about a trivial issue where someone enjoys their bike, when all they had to do was move on. I'm not pissing on anyone shoes
I think you and others who complain about bike pics are forgetting the essence of biking. You enjoy the ride and the bike that makes you feel like a kid. I do that by both riding and taking pictures of my bike. If you look up the word spam it's to send "unwanted" messages. Last I checked, I don't put a pic of my bike in every single thread, I place it in the threads that are about showing a pic of your bike, plus I'm not selling anything. It's funny if you think about though because I'm contributing more to the purpose of the site by "spamming" a pic of my bike than by your complaining
Have a good weekend yourself and keep having fun riding since it's what we all love to do
*BTW, where's that pic of your bike again?

if I had anymore space for a sig, this would definitely be added to it. I think I'll put this as my sig on another site

Anyway, I actually like seeing your bikes! You don't have to replace your entire groupo to re-post your bike. I know I get way too excited making even the most trivial changes to my set-up. And frankly, a lot of your ideas are really useful. I'm thinking especially of your Crosscheck "Monster". As I mentioned in the Steamroller thread, I'm finding my Angus a bit low on the utility side of things. The things you did with that Crosscheck gave me some really excellent ideas. The only one I could implement right now is the "butt rocket" water bottle holder, which I'm rather enjoying at the moment.
I'll probably be getting a trailer soon too, for great grocery-getting action.
