I went there (assuming you are talking about Frankenbike in Austin)... And left very quickly. I don't know if I hit it at an odd time, but there was easily close to thirty people there, and nobody was speaking at all. And, seeing how I was hoping to meet up with some people to talk bikes to, the no talking was odd...

I'm from Waco... So I can't really just check stuff out easily... Haha.
I went to Killeen today to buy some tires for my motorcycle (they had a 50% off sale) and so I figured I could splurge and make the full trip to Austin and see if I could find a cheap intro bike at Frankenbike... But, that didn't end up happening, so I'm bike to hunting pawn shops and craigslist here.

ya if you want a wicked old heavy bike frankenbike is great but i think it is better for parts than frames or full bikes.
gotta be careful with those pawned bikes if you buy a stolen one and get knocked out while riding it one day....haha
