Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? oh ya? I haven't gotten to install them yet since I left my saddle bag at the shop 3 hours away which had my tools in it...annoying. I think I'll like the shorter reach and shallower drop a lot though along with the flatter tops im sure.

My old frame pump broke when I let a friend use it. Figured something that 'should' be able to pump my tires back up to the 100+ range would be a decent investment.

You won't be disappointed by this one^; I have one and it easily reaches 100+ PSI; although the pumping takes a bit more effort toward the end due to heat causing some expansion in the barrel, which is common among all pumps.
The gauge is also amazingly accurate.

This is extraordinarily good news! I was somewhat reluctant after my run in with the last pump that I could with enough force to actually break the pump, scrape at the 70s, and it was without gauge.

So for that, thank you!

No problem, it's easy to maintenance/ grease too, just use the teeth that locks the handle in to unscrew the top stopper and squirt in some wax based chain lube and pump it a couple of times so the lube solidifies a bit. Do not use grease... as it'll eat away the washer of the pump.

Just picked up my first chrome bag off craigslist for $50.

Also, ordered some knockoff chinese bike lights and am waiting for them to come, hopefully they'll work.

Those seams look like they would be crotch-rippers and prone to irritation. I guess YMMV.

I think you could only feel them if you're wearing lycra and nothing else.

It's not exactly suede. They call it synthetic leather. It's some sort of really smooth but grippy material with a leather-esque grain printed on it. I can't think of anywhere else I've seen this kind of stuff.

I have no idea. I ordered mine from outsideoutfitters.com and it was un-perf'd so you could try your luck there. They're priced just about as cheap as everybody else.
