I really dislike DA cogs, they are very loud :-/

EAI is the best one I've used, quality is up there and they are very quiet.

Mineral spirits + blowing it out with an air compressor afterwards does the trick for me. Air compressor helps get some of the really deep grit out once its been loosened by the mineral spirits.

Been fiending for purple. Purple, with silver components and black finishing pieces. Taking a good look at the Bare Knuckle and Godzilla.

Got the parts to finish my Frank Peckham MTB project:

Suntour XC Comp derailleur, Race Face bash ring, and Sugino 22t inner ring. And even found a Jandd handlebar pack made to fit the Nitto bullmoose handlebar:

. . . and this showed up today:

Cinelli 37 handlebar and 2A stem for my vintage Ron Stout track bike. The black tape will be replaced, I'm leaning toward the Cinelli Carbon silver right now. These are the last of the major parts I needed, wheel build is next.

I haven't touched a brazing torch in 5 minutes... I was just setting up the new tanks in the shop.

We use propane for brazing... it is cheaper, less of a hassle to procure and transport, and propane does not make me sicker than a dog.

I can't handle acetone which, for those who don't know, is the stabilizer in acetylene.

forgive my ignorance since ive never used a stand

why exactly is it bad to clamp the tt?

if i get a stand and i dont have enough room to clamp on the seatpost (which i think is correct) do i have to take out a bunch just to put it on the stand?

Ham-fisted mechs using a quick release clamp have been known to crush tubes. Especially in the middle sections where butted tubes are the thinnest. Raise the seatpost before putting it in the stand.

Frame damage = $$$$$
Seat post damage = $

Just replaced worn-out Aliums with a pair of NOS Roc ATAC carbons. Just found out that Time has brought the Aliums back in their 2013 lineup.

Putting a track bike together for the spring. Ordered up a Nitto B123 in 31.8 (steel version), a chain and a couple of cogs.

any pictures of crushed top tubes? ill wait. if you clamp the s*** out of it enough to crush a top tube then you deserve it.
plus i put it like that cause it awkwardly clamps onto my miche seatpost.

I'm considering getting a King bottom bracket while the coupons are plentiful, to replace the GXP on my Omniums. Can someone point out the differences in these three?

Is the name in parenthesis who manufactured the cups or something? Because based on description and image they all appear the same one. Even the Truvativ and FSA ones mention Shimano in the description.

edit: https://chrisking.com/bottombracket
apparently the shimano and fsa ones don't have a 'stepped' axle config. I have no idea if that applies to track cranks at all. Just looking at the pictures the shimano one looks more in line with the stock omnium one. /clueless

I believe none of those would work. They are model and discipline specific; you would want the sram gxp road model.
