Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Just ordered some Cinelli Gel Cork bartape, Cinelli Pepper riser bar, Deda RHM01 bars, a Tektro cross lever, a Garmin Edge 510 and a shorter stem which will hopefully stop me from getting so stretched out. Now we play the waiting game.

Just ordered myself some Nitto B123s in CroMo along with steel toe cages since they were cheaper than any toe cages i can find here in sacramento at the bike shops ive been to. I fell in love with the B123s when i saw them at a bikeshop and decided to see how they felt, but couldnt justify paying 129$ when I got it for 80$ with free shipping over at benscycle. I also am now sporting my newly acquired MKS GR-9 and loving them, but the plastic cages i have now hurt my feet when i try to skid, either its the cages, or its my form (most likely my form, I llike the feel of skidding but prefer just slowing down before the turn or in the eventuality of a car pulling out i can pull my brake lever)

Soma 19t cog for the hillzzzz & one of those sweet lil mini headset bells that Scrod has. I'm way to ****ing excited to go crazy ringing that lil guy at folks on the bike trails instead of trying to yell "on the left" repeatedly or taking the chance and saying nothing.

Oh ya, and an MA3 laced to a Phil. Collecting wheels is fun.

Well they don't anymore. Apparently it was only made for 2011, I found it at a local bike shop on sale a couple of weeks ago and proceeded to replace everything. Its a great little bike. There is still a little I am going to change.

A cone wrench, chain breaker, chain whip, and rim tape. Canada Post lost my package so I also need a new chain, water bottle and handlebar tape.

Yea race lite. How does it ride? I'm a little concerned because it only has 20 spokes so I hope it's not too harsh. Then again, I have a steel bike to compensate for that. I really like the design though, it will be very easy to clean.

Keep a sharp eye on the rim, they have a history of cracking.

The swap meet was very good to me.

Brooks B17 Champion, Shimano 105 pedals, Shimano headset (NOS), Suntour Edge DT shifters (NOS), some no-name double walled MTB rim, and a sweet-ass handmade leather mudflap. $80 for the lot.
