Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

With the weather warming up, I just ordered my first proper road kit: A Pearl Izumi jersey and bibs. That should have me set for the summer.

I stripped the drive side axle nut on my freshly built 3-speed. Made a mad dash into a headwind to make it to the co-op before they closed to scrounge up a replacement. I hate those flatted axles. So easy to strip a thread and the thread pattern is unique to those axles. 13/32" x 26 tpi Whitworth or something like that.
