Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I thought I had posted to this thread, already; but, perhaps it just resembles another thread.

Anyway, I fly EMS helicopter.

Helicopters and fixed gear bikes have more in common than one might think.

I'm a lobbyist, but not the fun kind who gets to take politicians on golf trips, the boring kind who sits at a desk 9 hours a day and reads e-mails and documents, then writes down the useful information in other e-mails and documents.

By night I build and modify guitar amplifiers and effects for anyone who will pay me to put their insane ideas into practice.

Bike Mechanic....errr i'm a doctor! that's right a doctor! Doctor Mechanic they call me. i also went to school for a long time and make more money than i know what to do with. alot of times i just end up burning it. nothing says loaded like 'bike mechanic'.

no, i'm just kidding. it's the greatest thing ever! i get to work on bikes all day and shoot the **** with other people about bikes. i get payed to do what i would be doing at home. and then you can't forget about paying cost for parts!
