Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

What would make your (biker) world complete?

I need some celeste deep v's on some white phil woods with white spokes, bullhorns, and some black walled armadillo tires, maybe marathons, with air lock tubes. Then I could stop wanting for a little while. Maybe.

Bikes: Trek Émonda, 1961 Follis (French) road bike (I'm the original owner), a fixie, a mountain bike, etc.

My bike world would be complete if my bike weighed less - I'd love to take it down about 180 grams. A lighter seat post might could be in my future. But then what would I have to look forward to?

To be able just ride your bike and have fun and never get hated on for its color, components, or any other nit-picky detail.

that'd be nice

There are a lot less material items here than I thought. Hmm. Maybe I need to reconsider what is really important. ie low speed limits, no buses, no judgment. Still wouldn't mind some new rims though.

Bikes: 70s Leader Precision w/Shimano 600 (road), IRO Rob Roy (Fixed)

Financial security enough to allow me to ride whenever I want instead of having to go to work.

More attention paid/attentive drivers to share the road with (I don't mind riding with traffic, I do mind when they pay no mind )

A nice shiny new road bike would be kickass, too.

i just want more bikes. i love riding FG/SS, but i want one of everything. maybe two.

classic lugged italian roadbike, modern track, english 3-speed, modern TT, a nice beater ect. it just all so expensive!

the more money i earn from working, the less time i can spend riding. i can imagine by my old age having nice stable, but alas its going to take alot of time and money to get there. thats the fun i g uess, it would be boring to have everything.

Bikes: Surly Crosscheck, Surly Steamrolla

A common ground between drivers and cyclists. No more middle fingers, U-Lock Justice, shouting from windows, etc.

That and a Surly Cross-Check.

you're a cheap date.

my world will be complete this september when BTI gets this frame in stock from charge bikes.

actually, it'll be en route to completion; i'll spend the winter building it, in which case my (biker) world will be complete in march.

also-- this is a biker. i think you mean cyclist.

more predictable peds on campus. If they would walk in straight lines and not dart random directions things would be great.

3lb frame? That thing is a beauty and yeah, I want that too. But like someone said up there, having everything you want is no fun. I kind of like having the "damn I want that" feeling.
