probably a repost, but full of lolz. maybe we'll spot some bfssfg members here?
oh yeah, and because bikeforums is made for 10 year olds and bad words are censored out, the asterisks say the f-word (and it's not food. it's what you do with a lady. or a man, depending on what you're into)
EDIT: wait thought of a fix: https://tinyurl.com/hipsterlol

actually, I think the captions are what makes it. Especially if you understand the references.
The attitude of these new hipsters is the issue with them.

getting? it's been the same topics since i joined. i didnt log in for over a year, and when i did, it was still the exact same discussions. yawn.
this place is good when you need a specific answer, lots of knowledgeable people, but boring as **** as a 'daily' message board to take part in. the fact that any topic not directly associated with bikes is closed due to being 'off topic' sure doesn't help to foster any kind of 'community' vibe either.

While we're at it, what's your definition of a hipster?
To me, there are two separate meanings of the word. One is a style - clothing, musical taste, etc. The other is a derogatory term for someone that is hypocritical in that they claim to be countercultural / non-consumer, but are mindlessly following consumer trends (see: fixed gear).

Riding like its 1990
I posted this in the joke forum but it should say "hipsters" or maybe "fixters". Maybe we can come up with a better caption.
(I like cycling and appreciate many style but all this other stuff doesn't need to be added on, but that's just opionion so who cares...)

When a friend of mine and I were cruising around downtown at the Waterfront, there was a mob of people. One of the people had frames with no lenses. I have seen this before, but I thought that fad was over a while back.
I will never understand.

Why don't we just stop talking about hipsters on this forum and let them have their fad for the next week or two. They'll go away eventually.
