Odds are you'll end up with alloy white nipples, which I would avoid. Why not go for black brass instead?

Sure, but that doesn't say anything about the quality of it. Plenty of milk is served in school cafeterias, but if 95% of it is from powder...

I won't go into alloy vs. brass, alloy is lighter yes, but twists out easier and can bond to spokes easier (especially if spoke prep isn't used, or an insufficient quantity is used).
