I actually emailed Leader about that a while ago, and the reply I got was that:

"Tubing is Reynolds 853 in the top and down tube. rear triangle is Reynolds
525."

Awesome if it is, but why not start advertising that and let the sales skyrocket? Until they post it on their site, I'm not believing it. Has anyone actually bought one of these frames to corroborate this?

seriously... if i was selling a frame that was 853 at that price, i'd hype it.

well I have the 09 720tr and a cannondale carbon fork so I guess i'll be fine. i'm looking for a new frame anyways; mine is a little small

my guess is it's just 4130 like the alien/kazane frames and they're just putting out rumors. they'll never officially badge the frame or state it on their website/ebay auctions. they'll just float rumors until they sell the inventory of that particular HMT frame or whatever they call it...and then move onto the next as people forget about the tubing mystery.
