Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Well, I am glad to hear that you found your bike.

Tigerprawn, I think most anyone would have done the same thing your friend did. The local police here do not spend much time and effort on stolen bicycles, they have much much bigger things to do (not sarcasm)

I keep every single of my bikes inside and they don't get locked up for more than a few minutes.

Just to set the record straight we didn't bully the kid. We gave him an option of having the police come and sort it out or he could hand over the stolen bike no questions asked. However, now I feel I should've at least got his parents involved... Teach the little bugger a lesson so he doesn't steal another bike.
