JoeEasy 06-14-09 01:04 PM

thats it, wholesale. it doesn't matter, the bike is still kinda iffy

bw286 06-14-09 01:34 PM

takes a 25.4 seatpost or something. cheap crappy tubing. would not buy. get a scrambler instead.

leo2525 06-14-09 01:42 PM

better idea the tomasso agusta is on sale for like 225 plus free shipping for the frame and fork in white blue and orange @ rs cycle

ok, here is an opinion. crap. a big pile of steaming **** kicked out of a factory in china. horrible tubing, ugly welds, but it looks like it could bar spin

4 posts up is some tomasso. that's not an origin 8, just posted because it's a good deal and in the neighborhood of this origin 8 frame

the pile of **** is a motobecane, and I guarantee a good sight better than the origin 8 frame. this is based off the fact that the bit of experience i've had with origin 8 stuff has been full of lols at the terrible quality

the mbk rides great, makes for a nice commuter and much more practical than any other bike for $280 that i can think of.

yeah lupin, i was writing a reply to joeeasy, and you posted before i hit send. wasnt calling ur moto a piece of ****. :)

beeftech 06-14-09 05:39 PM

4130 is fine, Surly makes all there stuff out of it, and they've been doing it for a while.

Welds are completely cosmetic.

Everything comes from china/asia.

I wouldn't buy it, but it's comparable to every other cheap "track" bike.

This is what I was thinking. So the quality of this bicycle is comparable to BD bikes and the sub 500 dollar brand name bikes? Seems about right.

thanks.

lol okay, i was all like :( it's not that bad.

but i'd still pass on the origin 8 frame. their pedals are garbage, but they come in colors so they sell like crazy

The thing is a cheap rip off of other frames. Welds look more like barbie toys-r-us bikes for $39.95.

boostaddctn 06-15-09 01:05 AM

My buddy has one of these, he really likes it and others that have ridden it really likes it... and if I recall, it can't do bar spins cause the wheel still hits it... and I think the only major complaint is that the bottom bracket sits pretty low...

leo2525 06-15-09 02:46 AM

due post some pics of your buddies bike i'm quite curious as to what one looks like in its natural habitat.
