Bikes: Merckx Miyata Barracuda!

My new wheels!!

Well as many of you know, I have been in the process of building up a new wheelset.

477 dollars later I have my Phil Wood, black open pro wheelset on my bike!!!

Yeah I am stoked, I will take pics once I get my camera back form HereNT...

Anyway, time to go and test them out...

Phil

(P.S. Thanks all for the suggestion of radial lacing the front wheel, looks uber-sexy)

Scha-weet! They're enough to make a Quaker jealous. The black spokes are a nice detail. I didn't catch if you laced these up yourself or farmed 'em out.

The large flange? Black spoke front pic #3 is ....better than most front wheel ever I set glazzies onto.

Well they ride AWESOME...

I was actually surprised how light they were, I wasn't actually expecting them be so light, considering I was building them for solidity and durability. When I lift the front wheel off that ground and spin it, the wheel seems to spin forever, usually I get bored first.
I recommend to everyone to get set like em, you won't be dissapointed (surprising eh?)

I think I spend 30+ extra for the black spokes, I don't really know... It was purely for looks though, that is all..

K. Don't worry that isn't the Miyata...

It is the Kuwahara...

Here is a picture of the two of them making out...

Notice the new yellow tires on the Miyata, I don't blame the Kuwahara for wanting to make out with her.. heck, I almost have...
