Go Green Fest!

I totally forgot about this. I have been seeing fliers and what not about it for a while. there is an Alternative Transportation Festival going on in Scranton PA this weekend. It is taking the place of last years Lackawanna County Bike and Scooter Fest. Last year was pretty fun, this year is suppose to be bigger.
Here is a link to the info if anyone semi-local is interested.

I am posting here, because well I ride FG and most of the kids i ride with either ride FG or SS. That and this is the forum I almost solely frequent here.

well this event came and went. i am sad to say that i was the only cyclist to show up. OK the Chinese delivery guy was there with his bike, but it is always locked up out front of the restaurant (that is conveniently located right next to the bar i drink at). and some guy was here, drove home and then came back and did 4 or 5 laps around the block on his electric bike and then left. I know two kids were in NY for the bike film fest, but there are a lot of other riders in the city, i guess they are all afraid of the rain.

local crazy, one of the many.

pretty much. this was a very diverse fest as music goes for the city. i think all, or at least most of the bands had different members. Normally it is the same 8 playing all night as "different bands." basically they change instruments and call themselves a different name, but play almost identical music.

Isn't that where Joe Biden is from? He made it sound like a ****hole from what I remember. Which mean's it's probably a decent place to live.

Seriously though, sucks you were the only cyclist to attend. :/ Damn rain.

He lived here until he was like 9 or 10. so he didn't really live here, at least to remember this place. They tried to pitch Hilary Clinton was "from" Scranton to, but her family had a house near here for a while. she never lived here.

I was disappointed no one else showed up on a bike. there are a lot of people in the city that ride bikes, and i saw a few of them walking around there. so i know they got there by car. it's not like they live far from the block party. at most a mile or two. oh well, i did my part.

drank some beer, rode my bike, listened to music and bought goods from a local vendor. And talked to Franky LaPaglia.
