Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

absorb energy and recoil

i have to think more.
people don't know the difference.
it feels like traction.
sense control.
absorb energy and recoil.
release back to source.
lack of noise.
lack of care.
make a choice.
you can grow with an object you can learn from.
cleansing strength.
commit to travel.
friction parallel linkage.
extra with no elegance.
take what you need.
an extension of one.
jettison a needless decision.
don't waste your time or mine.
eighty-five pieces, not hundreds, even more.
storage on the sloping stoop, or on the basement floor.
close both eyes at night, in morning drink red wine.
ride a fixed, ride it now, fine, fine, fine.

PS: "The Wrench" is the worst.
He is probably short and ugly (with no friends) so he finds power in being rude on the internet.
