It has been way too long since we had a good photoshop thread. People, please get busy on this.

I'm curious....where do dutch bikes fit in your anti-"man" revolution? or do they get left behind with the uni-cycles and trikes?

The fact that you take part in a sub culture that some would regard as rebellious (i can't see how) gives you identity and something to be passionate about which is a good thing but come on, you can ride your bike all you want but its not going to bring down the gov't. That's just juvenile.

To a certain degree I do feel that riding bikes as transportation (all bikes, not fixed gear specific) is a form of counter establishment behavior. Behind the incredibly clumsy and over dramatic way this thread was presented, there may be a small unintentional grain of truth.

"Fixies are the coolest bikes"?
"regular ppl don't really understand them"??
"persectuion"???
"bush's oil cronies"????
"counter-culture weappon"...

Are you serious?!

Glad you liked it. That's what happens when you've just finished 150 student evaluations and are too wired on green tea to sleep.

I bet there's a group of earnest, baseball-loving, real salt of the earth kids (and their creepy, older, unemployed Zen-bouncer friend) fighting the good fight against this pinko fixie scourge!

Wolverines indeed!

Really!
I was thinking the exact opposite. The "powers that be", whoever they are, would want more and more of the populace to go to cycling. They are going to keep their cars. With everybody else on bikes, they have the advantage. I'd think that they'd promote and encourage more car owners to switch to cycling to leave more of the roadway for them.

Isn't it funny how China (traditionally a bicycle society) is seeing a surge in car buying, while in the USA (a strongly automotive society), people are going more cycle-phile? Maybe it's just me.
