Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I hope he comes around again. I know he's older and rides like 40 a day on his fix. Inspired me a bit, reminded to keep pushing.

Been away for awhile on vacation. Didn't have any internet connection. Riding every day on the road with my wife and camping out. Great way to clear your head. Now I'm back to the old grind in Central Ohio. Ah! vacations. Ain't they wonderful? Planning a fall ride thru the central states. I will let you know what and when.

No. This was a non technology ride. No handlebar computer. No camera. No laptop. No palm pilot. No Nuthin. Just me and the wife and the wind and that was it. Great way to clear your head and get back to basics. I have to start a large homebuilding project, and this was the tune up for that. Or should I say the reward for agreeing to do it. Ah! The things you do for love. I may not be online for some time as I will probably be crashing out after working all day on the house.
