Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Better than numbness.
Now is this a fixed gear specific problem or does it happen on other bikes as well (Tandem *****s, Recumbent *****s, or maybe even Dutch City bike *****s)?

Should have titled this "How to ride a fixed gear without getting a *****"

*****s are a totally natural function of your body. If your bike is hot it's not uncommon. Just bust out the Phil Wood grease and go to town.

If it lasts longer than 4 hours, consult a physician. Not sure how a cog/lockring could cause problems with your genitals tho.

I can't get a ***** if I try while riding either freewheel or fixed.

But I've never had numbness, so I figure it's not a bad thing.

yeah but then you would have to remove crankset also... and what a pain in the ass that is.

kidding aside that's why I don't wear loose underwr while cycling cuz sometimes junk gets rubbed the right way.
