quick Soma saddle question

I know they're both affordable knock-offs of classic saddles but does anyone have any experience with either of these seats?

Soma 'Okami':

Soma 'Ta-Bo':

More pics can be found by Googling if anyone cares to. I do dig the Turbo-style seat but am leaning toward the Okami. However, my decision is admittedly aesthetics-based at this point and I'd appreciate some input from someone who has one. Uncomfortable seats suck...good looking or not!

I had the Soma Ensho and loved it...very comfortable and affordable as well. My next saddle is going to be a Soma I am pretty sure.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find measurements anywhere...that's why I was hoping to come across someone on here who may have one. The Okami is indeed pretty nice looking from the pics I've found and I do love that classic-style saddle with the rivets but that's just it...at this point they're only pics.

If I knew the Okami was comfortable I would have bought a white one of those instead of paying less for a real san marco regal with the stupid embroidered "No Slip System" on the top of it.... I guess I could just rip the stitching out... or take it apart and replace it with my own white leather....

I didn't get one of those because I heard they weren't comfortable, and they were of poor quality.

They have dimensions on the soma website:
https://www.somafab.com/sad_okami.html
150 x 272mm

Also soma tends to have pretty responsive people on the end of their email address.

Thanks. For less than half the price of an actual San Marco Regal, I'm not expecting it to be the same in quality or comfort but Soma does seem to make pretty good stuff so I may end up giving it a shot.

It's been my experience that the leather on the San Marco Regals from the last five or six years since they started making them again isn't what it used to be back in the day...I've owned two of the recent ones and the covers on both of them combined haven't lasted as long as the Regal I bought in the mid-1990s...
I'd be interested if anyone has experience with both the Regal and the Okami and could speak to the comfort and overall construction quality of the Okami relative to the Regal...

Selle Italia just announced they are putting the original Turbo back into production. Might be worth thinking about

Bikes: 2007 IRO Mark V fixed, 1971 Schwinn Spitfire stock newsie cruiser, 60's Schwinn Collegiate single speed, 1984 Azuki Imperial fixed, old unknown brand Tandem fixed.

I have the Okami and have had the Ensho and they are both great saddles for the price (and both vegan). I like the Ensho better for comfort, but the Okami is such a great looking saddle for a townie/style.

I'm currently riding a Charge Spoon... another awesome inexpensive (and vegan) seat.

Thanks pazz. I was hoping for feedback from someone who actually has one. For the price, the Okami doesn't seem like too bad of a deal.

Which ever your going to buy you'd better do it quick, Soma loves releasing white saddles just to discontinue them like a month later!
